Everly’s Story
Everly's journey began with a daunting challenge: at just three days old, she underwent surgery to remove a brain tumor, leading to a diagnosis of Grade IV Glioblastoma. Defying the odds with remarkable resilience, Everly is now thriving, thanks in large part to the exceptional care and treatment provided by St. Jude.
Here is her journey
Everly’s mom, Kelsey was 8 months pregnant when her dad, Garrett filmed Shark Tank for his company Eterneva. The family felt on top of of the world.
Just 3 weeks later, they found a mass that was hemorrhaging in Everly’s head during a routine sonogram. She was born that day.
At 3 days old, the late Dr. Tim George performed a successful high-risk 5-hour surgery to remove Everly’s tumor. He passed away three months later.
Everly’s parents set meetings with Nuero-oncologists across the country…Looking for treatment options. The prognosis was grim.
Then Pediatric Oncologist Dr Amar Gajjar at St Jude called Everly’s parents and told them to come to Memphis, so they can save Everly.
Everly received chemotherapy from 5 weeks old until she was 8 months. The family watched Shark Tank air from her hospital room.
Some days were really tough…
But Everly taught her family that even through the hardest times, you can still find happiness and gratitude
After chemotherapy was completed, Everly began to thrive.
While at St Jude, Everly’s parents met multiple families that had to split up to continue working through long bouts of treatment.
This led to creating Foreverly Fulfillment - a fulfillment warehouse that provides flexible employment to St Jude parents so they can stay with their kids through treatment.
Uncertain about Everly's ability to hit developmental milestones, she began to not only meet them but excel in certain areas- developing a deep love for science along the way.
